March 2, 2023: Faith Comes By Hearing The Message, Part 2

"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17, ESV)

If you want to grow in faith, devour the Word. If you're going to succeed in a specific area of faith, find scriptures that speak to that area of your life. For example, If you need healing in your body, you want to find scriptures that reveal the heart of God towards you regarding healing.  Here are some samples:

• "And by His stripes, we are healed." Isaiah 53:5; 1 Pet. 2:24, 25
  
• "And behold, a leper came to him and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, if you will, you can make me clean." And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, "I will; be clean." And immediately his leprosy was cleansed." (Matthew 8:2–3, ESV)
  
• "But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not fear, only believe." (Mark 5:36, ESV)
  

These scriptures reveal that Jesus took our sicknesses to the cross. He is willing to heal. And we are not to fear but to believe.
    
There are scriptures for everything that you will face in life. Our job is to find them, meditate on them, and confess or speak them. When Jesus says, "My words are spirit and life." (John 6:63), He means it! Faith comes by hearing the message, and the message comes from what Christ speaks to us. Faith gives us access to the things of God! And His Word gives us access to Him.
