We want to make it as easy as possible for you to give both your regular tithe as well as specific offerings, so we've set up online giving. We offer the option of one time giving and also recurrent gifts. Simply click on the following link and you will begin the online giving process. Text to Give:
Giving is now as easy as sending a text! The process is simple, safe and secure, and works with all smartphones. Text the keyword GIVE to 321-417-0417. First time users will be texted a link to easily and securely register payment information. A verification email will also be sent, please make sure you open it and click “Verify/Link” to complete the initial process. Once this is done, your phone will be linked to your giving account. The next time you are ready to give, just text an amount (Ie. 125) to make a donation of $125 to tithes/offerings. We have also set-up the following keywords for additional giving options: MISSIONS (for contributions to our general mission fund), SPECIAL (for contributions to a special guest speaker), or BENEVOLENCE (for contributions to our general benevolence fund). Simply add the desired designation following your dollar amount (Ie. 125 SPECIAL would make a contribution of $125 to the Special Guest Speaker designation). Each time you give, you will receive a text and email verification with a receipt for your donation. Cash or Check/Envelope: You can also give by cash or check at Freedom during our weekly services. If you are giving cash or would like to designate your gift, please fill out an offering envelope. This will help us acknowledge your giving at Freedom. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be cancelled. |
WHY GIVE?
Tithe: All that we have comes from God; He is generous and merciful to each one of us, and in return, He asks that we trust Him with the first 10% of our income and resources. This is called a "tithe," and the Scriptures tell us that it belongs to God (Genesis 28:20-22, 2 Chronicles 31:5-12, Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:8-10, Matthew 23:23). When we give back to God what belongs to Him, we align our hearts with His and with the work He is doing through the local and global Church. Jesus says in Matthew 5:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." God desires the hearts of His people, and one of the best ways we show God He has our heart is through being obedient in the act of tithing. Offerings: Offerings are special gifts, beyond the tithe, that express gratitude for God's goodness in our lives. Paul gives instruction about offerings in 2 Corinthians 8-9. He says in 8:12, "For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have." In 2 Corinthians 9:6-9, the Scriptures say that we will be rewarded according to our generosity and that we should give joyfully from a willing heart. The outcome of generous giving is that God receives praise and we receive blessing. Our desire is for God to be praised and for His people to be blessed, so we encourage everyone to trust God by returning a tithe and by giving generously beyond that.
