What we call Christmas is really the beautiful illustration of heaven's invitation to all humanity to come to know God.  In other words, God requests our presence. It is beautiful!  The account of the incarnation of Christ is mysterious and told in such a way that  it draws people into it.  God is drawing us in and giving us an invitation to believe.

You have to come to the Light. It is not enough to see the light you must come to Him.

This is what Christmas is really all about...God rescuing us!  It is about God sending His Son as our rescuer, so that we may live and not die.  God gave His one and only son as a Gift given, that we might live. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (John 3:17, ESV)

John brings understanding to us of the Christmas story.  He does it by uncovering the truths that are veiled in the story.  The first statement of John unveils three truths about Jesus. “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1, NLT)
