PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
What does a church with a culture of prayer look like?
· It has regularly scheduled prayer times—found within the church literature and media
· It is promoted and encouraged from the pulpit
· It is taught on, and the Saints are equipped to pray
· It is highly regarded by the Pastor, Elders, Deacons, and Board Members
· It is corporate in nature not just individual
· It’s pastor is in involved in some type of city/countywide prayer group at least once a month
· It tracks how many people are involved in the weekly corporate prayer gatherings
· It has regular scheduled times of fasting
Guidelines for participating churches:
· Small groups are encouraged to have 10 minutes of corporate prayer over supplied prayer targets
· Childrens' groups and Youth groups required to have a minimum of 10 minutes of corporate prayer time over supplied prayer targets
· All church leaders from Pastor on down are encouraged to participate in at least one corporate prayer gathering per week
· Church staff prays together on the clock
· Corporate prayer before or during Sunday services
· Targeted prayer walking
Suggested Prayer Targets
· Monday: Church
o Adoration of God, for the pastors & worship leaders of our county, prophetic words spoken over churches, missions, holiness
· Tuesday: Evangelism
o For the lost & prodigals, Courage to witness, Revival in the church
· Wednesday: Our Government, Family and World
o For our president, congress, Supreme Court, military, Israel, and world affairs, an awakening in our nation, family
· Thursday: Children and Youth, Economy
o Revival and awakening in our children and youth, economy of Brevard, creativity and integrity in business, prayer over key businesses of Brevard
· Friday: Media, Entertainment, Education
o For the media, and arts and entertainment industries, pray for our public schools-safety, morals, wisdom, teachers.
· Saturday: For all Sunday services in Brevard County, for people to hear the Word.
