100801 Declaring the Ending!
Tim Franklin
Introduction:
-
Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,' NKJV
-
Isaiah 48:3 "I have declared the former things from the beginning; They went forth from My mouth, and I caused them to hear it. Suddenly I did them, and they came to pass. NKJV
-
Abraham according to Rom 4:17 called those things which were not as though they were.
-
Last week we looked at Caleb and focused on the fact that God said of him he had a different spirit. Numbers 14:24 But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it. NKJV
-
Developing a different spirit has much to do with your faith and your confession. You tongue affects you and surrounds more than you think.
-
I want you to notice from last weeks message that the 10 doubters who moved in fear swayed a nation and the nation did not enter. Those who walked by faith, were only temporarily delayed entrance into the land but their names are remembered in history! Caleb operated in Faith, Word, Covenant, and Righteousness. We enjoy reading and seeing from the Word of God, Caleb’s boldness. Joshua 14:10-ff.

Learning to Stand
-
Every believer needs a revelation of their spiritual authority in Christ. Having that empowers you to stand, endure and overcome.
-
We need a deep revelation of how immensely connected we are to Him
-
We need to realize that we are God’s chosen way of “expressing the fullness of Jesus’ power” into the earthly realm. Again, Kingdom is not about a people, a realm, etc as it is about the rule of God in our lives, community and world.
-
It is why we agree with Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17-18 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, NKJV
-
When you know whose you are and who you are you have an identity. Webster defines identity as: exactness or likeness in nature or qualities; a point of sameness.
-
Ephesians 2:6 raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, NKJV We have access to God’s throne, God presence and God’s authority. We have access to the victory of Jesus the Son of Man over Satan and demonic principalities. He defeated death, hell and the grave—and we are seated with Him.
-
He disarmed them. ‘Took the bite out of their bark.’ Colossians 2:15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. NKJV
-
You need a revelation of what it means when the scripture says, “In Him, In Christ etc.” that has to do with identity—I now have the same likeness in nature and qualities.
-
When you have identity with God you have authority.
-
Authority is delegated power. Common illustration is a police officer. He does not have power to stop a car but he does have the authority to stop a car. If the car does not stop he has been enable to use force in enforce his authority.
-
We us our authority against Satan who seeks to steal, kill and destroy God’s blessing in our lives. He does so through fear, addictions, emotional oppression, sickness, financial oppression etc.
-
We are therefore to fight back. James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. NKJV
-
This is what Caleb was doing in Numbers 13 & 14. He knew who he was and he knew whose He was. He too saw the giants but knew what God had said about Israel and he identified with Israel.
-
We will not stand until we know who we are.
-
Learning to Speak
-
This is a Kingdom Principle:The demonstration/movement/action of the Spirit follows a declaration of a believer. Since this is a Kingdom principle a (principal for rule—kingdom means the rule of God) we have to learn to speak and speak correctly. What we say matters! Where it matters most is in the home. Children catch on real quick how to speak. They model what they hear.
-
The Genesis 1 principal is that the Spirit moves at God’s word. Gen 1:1-3 The Spirit was hovering over the water and did so until God spoke. Then He moved! The Word of God moved the Spirit. And nothing moved until words were spoken. What are you speaking?
-
Faith comes by hearing the Word.
-
Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. NKJV Notice that faith does not come by asking for it. We have to hear. What we hear we speak. Il. A child speaks what it hears. A child who grow up hearing English will not speak Spanish.
-
John 6:63 … The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. NKJV
-
Words release life or death, blessing or cursing. If our words agree with Satan’s accusations then we release trouble. But if they agree with God’s promise they release life.
-
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. NKJV This is not a new revelation it has been around for a long time. The Charismatic movement brought it to light once again and Satan has tried to twist it into selfish ambition and greedy gain. It was meant for Kingdom rule in the seven spheres of life.
-
Ie Jesus used word to rule over Satan Mt. 4:4-10 It is written, it is written, away from me Satan.
-
Doors open and shut in the spirit realm by believers on earth speaking God’s word. We see that in the previous scripture with Jesus. They can affect the heavenly realm by binding demonic activity and loosing angelic activitiy.
-
Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." NKJV
-
The responsibility of the earthly realm is given to us. God allow us to determine much more of the quality of life we live than we actually understand. And we do so according to our actions and words. Psalms 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's; But the earth He has given to the children of men. NKJV
-
Learning to Subdue—Declaring the Decrees of the Lord
-
Psalms 2:7-8 "I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. NKJV The decree of the Lord gives the king his rights and duties over the people of God (Ps 2:7).
-
What is a decree?
-
It has the primary meaning of cutting in or engraving in stone as hewing a tomb in the rock (Isa 22:16) and as drawing a picture on a brick (Ezek 4:1) or a wall (Ezek 23:14).
-
This root occurs in the Polel stem. It refers to enacting a decree (Isa 10:1; Prov 8:15; cf. Jer 31:35), hence the participial form designates a ruler, lawgiver (Gen 49:10; Isa 33:22), or commander (Judg 5:9,14). The root may also parallel ("staff") designating the ruler's staff which is the symbol of ruling (Num 21:18; Ps 60:9 ; Ps 108:9). (from Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament. -
To declare the decree was to recount, remember by speaking that which has been established. Father are to declare/recount to the children the Word of God. So this Psalm is literally Jesus declaring what God has already established—it is written in stone.
-
God want us to live with that same kind of mind set declaring the decrees—what is established by God.
-
Prophet decrees
-
Prophetic decrees stir up our faith to prophesy. We give expression to these impressions. We prophesy according to our measure of faith or our confidence in the Spirit’s way of running the Kingdom. Kingdom principal: the Spirit moves following the declaration of a believer. Therefore: what has God said, that I can say?
-
Prophetic decrees focus on what God wants to release “now” and stir our faith to operate in a prophetic spirit. In other words, it requires that we value the small measure of the Spirit’s presence and impression in our midst now.
-
Prophetic decrees are our intercession in contending for the fullness of God in the earth.
-
God calls for that which does not exist into the natural realm
-
Romans 4:17 (as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him whom he believed — God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; NKJV
-
Testimony
-
Our testimony is what we testify as being the truth of what we believe about Jesus testimony.
-
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. NKJV
-
Revelation 19:10 For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." NKJV
-
Scriptural examples
-
Matthew 21:19 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away. NKJV
-
Luke 17:6 So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you. NKJV
-
Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. NKJV
-
Ez spoke the Word of the Lord to the dry bones and wind of the Spirit. Ezekiel 37:4-9 Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! …7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; … He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live."'" NKJV
-
Types of decrees
-
We make decrees to the elements of nature and to inanimate objects (wind, fig tree, mountains, etc.).
-
We make decrees over geographic regions.
-
We make decrees to demon spirits that dwell in people (not usually disembodied ones). We may speak to the spirit of a person to rise up as a mighty one.
-
We may make decrees to angels because they obey the word of God even from our lips (Ps. 103:20; 91:11).
-
We may say, “We agree with Your Word, thus we declare the decree of the Lord and call forth Your promises.”
-
We make decrees such as “Go forth light of revelation. Go forth or blow Oh wind of God. We call forth the gifts of the Spirit or the spirit of prophecy or supernatural provision. We declare that You will release Your power, blessing, gifts of the Spirit or Your financial provision, etc.”
Conclusion:
-
One of the weapons of our warfare ‘2 Cor 10:4-6’ is the Word of God unleashed by a heart of faith. Or a prophetic impression that leads to Gods Word and then is decreed.
-
Joshua 14:10-12 And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. 11 As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. 12 Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said." NKJV
-
Decree the passion of your mountain!
