Introduction:
·
·         God is more interested in spiritual relationship with us than natural.

1.      A Look from the Outside-enamored-an applause
a.      The woman sees from a distance what ‘must/might’ be.
                                                              i.      It would be great to have you as a son.
ii.      It would be honorable to have you as a son.
iii.      I would really be important if you were my son.
b.      Jesus does not rebuke the woman nor does he correct her.
                                                              i.      Jesus acknowledges, “You got that right!”
ii.      Jesus’ challenges her to look deeper.
2.      A Look from the Inside-immersed-an application
a.      Makarios-blessed. Happiness that has great emotional force that often contrast false happiness.
                                                              i.      Real happiness that reaches deep is a happiness that come from knowing the God of the Word.
1.       Luke 8:21 But He answered and said to them, "My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it." NKJV
ii.      The key to significance is hearing the word of God and keeping it (obeying it/practicing it).
b.      The Source of Blessing is in keeping the Word
                                                              i.      Psalms 1:1-2 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. NKJV
ii.      Psalms 112:1 Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.  NKJV
iii.      Psalms 119:1-2 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! 2 Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! NKJV
iv.      Isaiah 48:17 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. NKJV
                                                            v.      James 1:25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. NKJV
