1.      Jesus, Jerusalem and the King of Kings Rev 19:11-16
a.      Revelation 19:11-16 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns… 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, … 14 And the armies in heaven, … followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. … He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe … a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. NKJV
b.      Heaven open again, the last time we see Jesus like this is Rev. 5 when Jesus receives the scroll.
c.       Jesus is crisply described by John as he sees the heavens open.
                                                              i.      He is called Faithful and True-His promises are reliable, His justice is true, His actions are accurate.
ii.      Makes war—the 7th trumpet announces that Jesus is here to take over. Rev. 11:15. Jesus uses war to establish peace and justice. The antichrist started this war and Jesus will finish it. (Rev. 11:7; 12:7,17; 13:4,7; 17:14; 19:11, 19; Dan 7:21; 9:26)
iii.      His robe is dipped in blood. The majority of scholars agree that this blood is the blood of his enemies. It is flowing from the winepress of his wrath. The blood show his intimate involvement in the fact that He believes in this war. The word ‘dipped’ –Gr. Bapto=baptize or immersed. His garment is covered.
1.       Isaiah 63:1-4 Who is this who comes from Edom… This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength…2 Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress… For I have trodden them in My anger …; Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, And I have stained all My robes. 4 For the day of vengeance is in My heart, And the year of My redeemed has come. NKJV
d.      Ps 45 reveals Jesus as seen as beautiful in context to the Armageddon campaign.
                                                              i.      Psalms 45:2-5 You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; ... 3 Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty. 4 And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness;… 5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King's enemies; The peoples fall under You. NKJV
e.      A river of blood runs nearly 200 miles or the distance from Megiddo in the north to Bozrah in the south (Israel is only 160 miles long.)
                                                              i.      Revelation 14:19-20 So the angel …gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trampled …and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs. NKJV

2.     Satan Bites the Dust
a.      The nations gather to make war with Jesus (Rev 17:14; 19:19)
b.      The will gather all nations to His winepress in Jerusalem to kill them (Joel 3:2, 11-21) Satan will deceive the kings into coming (Rev 16:13-16).
                                                              i.      Zephaniah 3:8 My determination is to gather the nations To My assembly of kingdoms, To pour on them My indignation, All My fierce anger; All the earth shall be devoured With the fire of My jealousy. NKJV
c.       John describes Jesus great victory at Jerusalem that the OT prophets prophesied of. Jesus arrives in Jerusalem at just the right time to save the remnant of Israel.
                                                              i.      Zechariah 14:2-5 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken ... Half of the city shall go into captivity ...3 Then the Lord will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. 4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives ... And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south. 5 Then you shall flee through My mountain valley... Yes, you shall flee … the Lord my God will come, And all the saints with You. NKJV
ii.      Zechariah 12:3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone …all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. NKJV
d.      David saw Jesus executing His enemies as He establishes his world wide empire. Ps 110:5-7.
e.      The high point of His entrance into Jerusalem is Mt. 23:39 I say to you (governmental leaders in Jerusalem) you shall see me no more till you say, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” NKJV
f.        Jesus will be celebrated as the Son of David! Ps 24:7-8 Lift up your heads O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the king of glory shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle (Armageddon campaign).
3.     Rev 20 Introduction to the Millenial Kingdom Rev 20
a.      John now shows us the end of the story in Rev 20-22.
b.      Millennium is a term that speaks of a literal 1000 year period in which Jesus rules the earth. Rev 20:1-10 has three sections describing the events occurring during the millennium.
                                                              i.      Vs. 1-3 Satan is imprisoned for 1000 years, beginning of the millennium.
1.       Satan is bound! And he is thrown into a prison.
2.      Four names:
a.      The dragon-denotes his cruelty
b.      The serpent of old-refers to the liar in the garden that deceived.
c.       The Devil/Accuser—accusations always divide.
d.      Satan-means the adversary who attacks us.
ii.      Vs. 4-6 resurrected Saints given the leadership of the earth, during the millennium.
1.       John saw thrones as one of the highlites of Rev. (Rev. 2:26-27; 3:21; 5:10; 20:4-6; 22:5; Mt. 19:28; 20:21-23; 25:23; Lk 19:17-19; 22:29-30; 1 Cor 6:2-4; 2 Tim 2:12; Ro. 8:17)
iii.      Vs. 7-10 Satan released from prison to deceive the nations, end of millennium.
1.       Satan must be release at the end of the millennium. Why? God will openly manifest the truth about the depth of human sin(called the mystery of lawlessness in 2 Thess 2:7) and about Satan as being incurably evil.
2.      Satan deceives the nations once again.
3.      God demonstrates the justice of His eternal judgments by showing that men rebel even in an ideal environment because they love sin. Men will not be able to blame their sin on their difficult circumstances. These events will create gratitude in us.
4.      Gods final judgment of all enemies. Rev 20:11-15
5.      The Father establishes his throne with His people on earth.
a.      Vs 3 God now dwells with man.
b.      The new Jerusalem is our eternal dwelling place.
c.       In the millennium Jesus primary mandate is to prepare the earth for the Fathers coming.
d.      At the end of the millennium the earth will be purged with fire.
e.      The new city. Seven negatives are dealt with.
                                                              i.      No sea Rev 21:4
                                                            ii.      No death
                                                          iii.      No sorrow
                                                          iv.      No crying
                                                            v.      No pain
                                                          vi.      No curse 22:3
                                                        vii.      No night 21:25 & 22:5
